The zen kiss is not like the Eskimo nose rub or the romantic movie screen kiss. In fact it’s not about two humans engaging in the tradition of the kiss. It’s a simple life philosophy that simply stands for KISS: “Keep It Simple Stupid.” If you study longevity and people who have had a long rewarding life they have that one ingredient that separates them from the rest of mankind. They have a mindset that allows them to continue life in a simple zen manner.
They keep out of costly entanglements, law suits and fights with their neighbors… since they simply go about doing their business and don’t meddle into anyone elses business. Why complicate things when life can be so beautiful by living a simple yet productive life.
I grew up in Western Pennsylvania and watched the Mennonites simply go about their business growing fruits and vegetables, farming and making handicrafts and basically living on a self-sustained manner… butchering their own meats, making cheeses and blending into their own society. They don’t get involved with national politics, wars or the run of the mill corporate disasters. They simply live very much like the zen philosophy.
So there you have it! My average blog is around one thousand words so I have tried by example to shorten this blog to under four hundred words and keep it simple stupid. KISS
