Zentraveler on the Art of Happiness!

Some of the most miserable people in the world are rich in money beyond your imagination, however often times they are the most miserable, since they are still looking for the external world to give them their fix.  This fix which may include: a brand new Mercedes Car, a brand new House, and a vacation fit for Kings and Queens, Sports Stars , and Hollywood Actors …only lasts approximately seven weeks and then reality sets in.  The adrenalin which pumped you up for your latest extravaganza  isn’t going to get it!  You have made the human error of chasing the rat race…and now you must live with the consequences.

Case in point… during the last stock market bubble burst, a Frenchman lost twelve billion dollars and then committed suicide.  Surprise,  Surprise, he still had three billion dollars in his bank account.  Can you imagine what that money could do for a poor country where people are struggling with the dogs to find enough to eat from the garbage heaps! You are already born with the happiness answer.  KISS in the business world means:” Keep It Simple Stupid”. Our own government guarantees us the pursuit of happiness.  The little Buddha country of Bhutan has its own level of consciousness which is the highest in the world. The kingdom of Bhutan uses ‘gross national happiness’ as a key national indicator. They have it right!  They are also the happiest people on the planet.

The Dalai Lama sees happiness as an objective: people setting goals and working to achieve them thus creating happiness in oneself. After later examining some previous experiments, he came to this conclusion: unhappy people tend to be self-focused, withdrawn, brooding and even antagonistic. “On the other hand, happy people tend to be more sociable, flexible, and creative and are able to tolerate life’s daily frustrations more easily than unhappy people.”

Don’t really know the exact formula for happiness, but here is an example that might help you with your disciplines and priorities. Accept the fact that both your time and your energy are limited, and that therefore everything can’t be top priority.  Figure out what your priorities actually are, and then build your life around them.

You need to stop letting other people determine how you spend your time and energy. You also need to stop living a reactive life in which you just wait around for stuff to happen and start asking yourself “Why the heck would I do that?” about pretty much everything. The trade off, of course, is that you no longer have time for everything and everyone. But, you actually have more  time for the most important things…people, and isn’t that so much better?

So there you have it!  You are born happy and have the happiness formula already built inside…so all you have to do is look inward and apply some discipline to your daily life in the external world.  Birds don’t worry about getting enough… they know there is enough provided by nature. Hopefully you too can extend your consciousness beyond a bird-brain and enter a higher level of  consciousness… giving you automatic happiness.

QUOTE: “No matter what activity or practice we are pursuing, there isn’t anything that isn’t made easier through constant familiarity and training. Through training, we can change; we can transform ourselves. Within Buddhist practice there are various methods of trying to sustain a calm mind when some disturbing event happens. Through repeated practice of these methods we can get to the point where some disturbance may occur but the negative effects on our mind remain on the surface, like the waves that may ripple on the surface of an ocean but don’t have much effect deep down. And, although my own experience may be very little, I have found this to be true in my own small practice. So, if I receive some tragic news, at that moment I may experience some disturbance within my mind, but it goes very quickly. Or, I may become irritated and develop some anger, but again, it dissipates very quickly. There is no effect on the deeper mind. No hatred. This was achieved through gradual practice; it didn’t happen overnight.”

Certainly not. The Dalai Lama has been engaged in training his mind since he was four years old.” —Dali Lama XIV, The Art of Happiness

THINGS YOU MAY NOT KNOW:  If we agree that for all human beings it is important that they experience happiness and escape misery, then it follows that the best society is the one in which there is the least misery and the most happiness.  On this basis, everyone’s happiness counts equally. This includes the happiness of everybody now alive as well as that of future generations. So it is important that we act in a way that takes the happiness of all into consideration. If we can agree on this then we’re one step closer to achieving a happier society.

Zentraveler on health benefits of Traumeel.

I had never heard of Traumeel until one day we were at the coffee shop in Cebu and a foreigner said he had been using Traumeel for several years and is excellent for aches and pains.

Traumeel is a all-natural product used to relief bruising and pain. This holistic medication is used for a multitude of injuries, specifically for joint pains. The popular anti-inflammatory, homeopathic product comes in over-the-counter petroleum-free gel, tablets, ointment, oral vials and oral drops. Traumeel is often used and recommended in place of NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs)

Does Traumeel Really Work?
Traumeel is clinically proven and has been introduced by the FDA or Federal Drug Administration as one of the effective pain relievers in the world of medicine. Several clinical studies show Traumeel to be safe and rarely causes side effects.  Current information suggests that Traumeel may be considered as an anti-inflammatory agent that is at least as effective and appears to be better tolerated than NSAIDs.

Does Traumeel Have Side Effects?
Traumeel is a supplement remedy that contains all natural-organic ingredients. Since it is formulated of natural materials, it has no side effects. Traumeel is recommended to relieve your joint pain, sore muscles, tendonitis, arthritis or other musculoskeletal pain.

Which Ingredients Are In Traumeel?
This supplement has various active ingredients of which the most well known are:  Arnica, Hamamelis, Calenda, Hepar sufuris, Aconitum, Chamonilla, Bellis perennis, and Mercurius.

The ingredients of Traumeel have been used for many years for therapeutic purposes, such as for

  • pain (Atropa belladonna),
  • inflammation (Echinacea),
  • bruising (Arnica montana),
  • wound healing (Matricaria recutita, Calendula officinalis),
  • bleeding (Achillea millefolium),
  • edema (Mercurius solubilis),
  •  and infections (Hepar sulfuris).  —pubmed source

What Makes Traumeel Special and Effective?
Apart from arnica montana, Traumeel combines 12 botanical and 2 mineral substances as active ingredients to produce a synergistic result, enhancing the therapeutic effects of applying arnica alone.

So there you have it!  If all of your other pain medications have lost their effectiveness… why not take Traumeel for a test run and see what happens… unless you are the type that loves pain and misery…why bother.
